About me

A little bit about me

Entering this world in 1994, I was born as a millennial. I am one of the lucky ones to say that I experienced a world that wasn’t taken over by the internet during my childhood. As I was raised by a powerful young single mom and a hippielike and an incredibly open-minded stepfather, I learned from a very young age that working hard was normal and love was all I really needed.

In 2019, I felt like I had lost myself. I was 25 years old, and I felt like something wasn’t right. But what it was, I had no clue. I decided to travel to Nepal to follow a meditation course in Kopan Monastery to look for answers. After living for ten days as the monks do, I traveled to Indonesia to volunteer at an elementary school.

Meanwhile, I wrote about my experiences. Slowly I started to get to know myself in another way than before, now that I stepped out of my comfort zone. I learned a lot about myself and, since then, get closer and closer to finding out how to find and maintain my happiness.

One of the most important things is to feel connected. To feel connected to myself. I learned that I had to get to know myself to find out what I need to be happy. And it’s not always easy to be your individual and authentic self. After all, we also have the need to belong and to feel connected to the people we feel love for. But do we really feel connected to others if we aren’t connected to ourselves?

This is why I started The True Connection

In the last couple of years, I got to know incredible people with extraordinary stories and philosophies. The truth is, everyone has a story, and there is so much we could all learn from each other. On The True Connection, I am sharing my grow stories and those of the people who allow me to. Next, you can find incredible life philosophies that truly open your eyes. You could read these stories or listen to them on my podcast

With this website, I want to provide material about different philosophies that might help both you and me to reconnect to ourselves and, therefore, to find a true connection with others as well. After visiting this website, I hope that you feel more connected to yourself and more connected to everything and everyone around you.

So, let’s share our insights and life philosophies. Would you like to share your story? Please contact me! I look forward to that!!

Thank you for visiting my website. I hope you like it!

Love, Romana
